We are Alex and Jessica and are excited at the opportunity to let you know a little bit about ourselves, our life and our hopes for building a family. We can only imagine how difficult this decision is for you and we appreciate your consideration. We admire the courage and strength you have to put your child's needs above your own and it is our goal to give them the life you dream of for them.
Alex and Jessica
We met while on vacation and quickly realized we lived about 30 miles apart back home. On the night we met we shared stories of our families and even debated about who had the cuter niece. We knew we were in love when on one of our first dates, cosmic bowling, we didn't even finish the first game because we were too interested in our conversation. We can talk for hours. We were engaged in 2009 and began talking about our dreams of starting a family. We believe it is important to be of the same faith and Jessica, who had never been baptized began classes to learn about becoming Catholic. Alex attended every class with Jessica and we really feel this foundation in our faith is what has made our relationship so strong. Jessica was baptized in April of 2010 and we were married later that year. We always knew we wanted children and even discussed adoption to build our family not knowing we would later find out we could not conceive on our own.
Alex is the youngest of four with two sisters and a brother. Jessica has one older sister. We have a total of 8 nieces and nephews and even a great niece and a great nephew. We are fortunate that everyone including our parents, live close. We spend all of the holidays with our families and always get together for birthdays, graduations, sports and dance recitals. We love to celebrate every holiday and decorate our home for every season. We are so excited to share our traditions like dying easter eggs, carving pumpkins and decorating the Christmas tree with a child.
About Alex (written by Jessica)
Alex is truly my best friend and I thank God every day for bringing him into my life. He is my rock. He is a manager for In N Out Burger where he has worked since he was 16. He had two jobs to put himself through college and received a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology. He worked at several locations on his road to management. Every time he was transferred, he would come home with cards and gifts from all of his associates who were going to miss him. It is amazing how he is able to lead but still make working fun. This is one of the many reasons I feel he will be an awesome dad. He loves sports, especially football and baseball and plays in all the tournaments his company sponsors including soccer and softball. He is just as hardworking at home as he is on the job. He is always supportive of my "home project ideas" and is always quick to give me the credit when we all know he is the muscle behind it! He is so loving and patient and just has the best heart, he always wants to make everyone happy.
About Jessica (written by Alex)
Jessica is loving and selfless. She always puts others before herself and I am grateful to share my life with her. While attending Cal State Fullerton she worked at a craft store which allowed her to showcase her creativity. We often take care of our nieces and nephews and she always has a creative activity for us to complete. Whether it's making a card or decorating cookies she always has something fun planned. Soon after graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, she obtained a job which allowed her to travel around the United States. I would often join her and we would make sure to visit the local baseball stadiums like Fenway and Wrigley Field for a game. We love to travel and our goal is to collect a souvenir from every baseball stadium. Jessica is a very thoughtful person and looks for any opportunity to make someone feel special. Often I find a nice note in the car which she has written and it always makes me smile. Jessica would love to be a stay at home mom and fortunately we are in the position to make this possible. This is something that we have both wanted for a long time and I know that she will be a great mother.
We live in a nice neighborhood with an elementary school within walking distance and a park right behind our house. There are two cul-de-sacs on either side of the house which makes it easy and safe for the neighborhood kids to play and ride bikes. Our weekends are spent working or playing in the yard and walking our dogs, Broxton and Zoey, to get coffee in the local downtown area with movie theaters and restaurants. The city often hosts events like pictures with santa and family movies in the park. Our home has 4 bedrooms and includes Jessica's craft room, she loves to scrapbook and make gifts for family and friends, she often helps our niece's and nephew's with their school projects and looks forward to helping our own child too and this is the perfect place to do it!
We look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey together. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us.
All the best,
Alex and Jessica
